Community Legal Centres Queensland is undertaking a project to update its Evidence and Analysis of Legal Need in Queensland Guide.
In 2016 and 2019, CLCQ developed an Evidence Guide to support procurement processes conducted by the then Department of Attorney-General to allocate legal assistance funding to Queensland CLCs.
The 2019 edition of the Evidence Guide collated this information to make it easier for Queensland CLCs to understand legal need with the available evidence, to support service planning, design and procurement applications.
Since the 2019 edition there has been a Census in 2021 and further research such as the PULS which would inform the evidence basis for legal need in Queensland. An updated Evidence Guide will support the CLC sector to identify and map the services needed to meet unmet legal need and provide advice to government about those over the coming years.
